Factors affecting recalibration frequencies come in various shapes and sizes (the standard factors being metrological, economic, organizational, and acceptable risk, with further customization available to suit your specific industrial sector).

These influential criteria, which are specific to the measuring equipment family undergoing optimization, are given a risk-related weighting factor and assigned a level of importance, instrument-by-instrument.
The instrument data is put through statistical analysis with respect to all the other equipment in its family. The result of this determines the optimum recalibration interval of the measuring instrument and provides justification for the revised interval.
